Olympic Beach or Olympiaki Akti is a great place for couples, families, seniors, groups and solo travelers.

extremely strong, so you definitely need to apply sun lotion and wear a hat.

In September, the weather is awesome with the temperature varying from 19°C - 28°C. The sea water is warm from 21.1°C to 27.5°C. The same warm weather you will find in October varying from 18.1°C to 24.4°C. During these months, you will find low rates.
Month June, my favorite month to vacation, you will find that the streets and the beach
front are not so crowded. Everything is calmer and quieter than the high season.
It’s easy to chat with the locals, find parking and available sunbeds. The weather is
beautiful in June and the temperature is between 20°C - 28°C, with the sea water
temperature between 19°C - 27,5°C.
July and August belong to the high season, especially from July 20th until the end of
August. This is because most Greeks take their annual vacation. Everything will be
loud, crowded and more expensive. The services and parking can be problematic, since
it’s the peak of the summer. July and August are the hottest months with temperatures
from 22°C - 32°C and 10 hours of sunshine. The sun is at its hottest from 12:00 to
17:00. It’s recommended that you repeatedly use sunscreen, preferably 30 - 50 SPF.
My suggestion is to go to the beach between 8:00 - 12:00 and 17:00 - 20:00.
Of course, the sea water in July is hot too, with temperatures from 22.5°C to 28.5°C.
and in August from 25.2°C to 29.6°C.
So, to conclude, if you are looking for a quiet, calm, relaxing vacation which is budget
friendly, then choose the low season. If you love the hustle and bustle of tourists and
locals gathering in large groups, then choose the high season.
How many days to vacate in Olympic Beach?
Studies say that happiness peaks during vacation is around day 8 and you might start
feeling homesick around day 11. I say, vacations are never enough.
If you want only to relax at the beach, you can always spend 7 - 10 days. If you want
to discover more of Olympus Riviera, Pieria’ beaches and popular points of interest, you
should spend at least 12 - 14 days.
Whichever way you choose and how long that will be, i guarantee you will have a fantastic holiday!
